We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Therapist to join our dynamic NHS dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and providing exceptional patient care. As a Dental Therapist, you will work closely with dentists and patients to ensure a comfortable and effective dental experience.
Duties
Conduct comprehensive oral examinations, including assessing gum health and identifying potential issues.
Carry out procedures subject to their scope of practice as a dental Therapist
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required for diagnosis.
Maintain accurate patient records, documenting treatments and observations.
Assist in the preparation of treatment rooms and ensure all instruments are sterilised and ready for use.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide high-quality patient care.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
Qualifications
Valid Dental Therapist GDC registration in accordance with local regulations.
Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health.
Familiarity with medical imaging techniques is preferred.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain procedures clearly to patients.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
