Smile 32 Dental, is a welcoming and personable dental practice located in Hounslow, Southall (UB2 5UL). We are currently seeking a forward-thinking dental hygienist and therapist to join the team on a full-time permanent basis. As a Dental Hygienist and Therapist at Smile 32 Dental, you will collaborate closely with our dentists to deliver top-notch patient care, focusing on helping individuals maintain optimal oral health. A dental hygiene and therapist's primary role is to provide preventative care to patients; this is undoubtedly the most important role in any dental practice. Prevention is about giving your patients control of their oral health.

Your responsibilities will encompass performing preventive procedures, offering personalised oral hygiene guidance to patients, and maintaining precise patient records.

Key Responsibilities:

Administering preventive and therapeutic dental procedures.

Educating patients on effective oral hygiene practices and providing personalized recommendations for ongoing care.

Identifying and documenting any anomalies or changes in a patient's oral health

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, and consent forms

Working collaboratively with our dentists to formulate comprehensive treatment plans for patients.

Staying informed about the latest advancements and trends in dental hygiene.

Perform dental hygiene and therapeutic procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth.

Take and develop dental x-rays.

Assess patients' oral health and provide appropriate treatment recommendations.

Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care - Administer local anaesthesia as needed.

Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans - Collaborate with dentists and other dental professionals to provide comprehensive care.

Requirements:

A valid dental hygiene and therapist qualification

Registration with the General Dental Council (GDC)

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Profound knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and techniques

Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping

Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations and priorities
