Key Responsibilities:
As a Dental Hygienist/Therapist at Cornwall Dental Centre, you will be key to providing comprehensive oral hygiene care and treatments to our patient base. Your duties will include:
Full Scope of Hygiene Treatments
: You will be responsible for delivering a full range of dental hygiene services: routine PMPR, NSPT and airflow to our private patients with some direct access patients.
Full Therapy scope (Therapists only):
You will be responsible for delivering your full scope of therapeutic treatment to our private adult and child patients. This will mostly (but not exclusively) be treatment planned and referred across to you. Where you feel confident to do so, you have the freedom to plan and treat patients accordingly within your scope.
Offer additional services such as tooth whitening treatments
Who We are looking for
Professional Qualifications
: You must be a fully qualified Dental Hygienist and/or Therapist with valid registration with the General Dental Council (GDC). If you hold both hygienist and therapist qualifications, this would be preferable as it expands your scope of practice
Experience:
A background in delivering high-quality dental hygiene care is preferred, with advanced skills being a distinct advantage. We also welcome applications from new graduates.
Passion for Patient Care
: Importantly, we are looking for someone who provides excellent patient care. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team, communicating effectively with both patients and colleagues.
Motivated and Enthusiastic
: We seek a self-motivated individual who is eager to learn and improve, whether that is through professional development, acquiring new skills, or contributing to the overall success of the practice.
