Apprentice Dental Nurse

One Dental Peterborough is looking for a motivated, capable Apprentice Dental Nurse who wants to learn properly, develop strong clinical skills, and grow within a professional, well-run practice.

This role is suited to someone who is academically capable, organised, and genuinely committed to completing the dental nursing qualification alongside practical training.

The opportunity

This apprenticeship offers structured, hands-on training in a supportive environment with clear expectations. You will be guided throughout your apprenticeship and supported to become a confident, reliable dental nurse with strong foundations.

We are not looking for someone who wants a short-term role. We are looking for someone who wants to build a career and grow with the practice.

What you will learn

With full support, you will learn to:

Assist clinicians chairside across a range of treatments Maintain high standards of infection control and decontamination Accurately complete clinical notes and use dental systems Communicate professionally with patients and the team Work efficiently in a structured clinical environment Use modern dental technology and digital workflows
No previous dental experience is required. Training will be provided.

Intelligent and able to study and complete coursework alongside work Willing to learn, take feedback, and develop professionally Organised, reliable, and punctual Confident in communication, both written and verbal Professional, respectful, and calm under pressure Able to work well within a team and contribute positively
This role is not suitable for someone who is not committed to learning, studying, and completing the apprenticeship qualification.

Training and qualification

Enrolment on a recognised Dental Nurse Apprenticeship -(suitable GCSES required) Full support with coursework, exams, and practical training Ongoing mentoring and structured development throughout the apprenticeship
Pay and progression

Apprenticeship wage in line with current guidelines Pay progression as skills, competence, and responsibility develop Clear opportunities to progress to a qualified dental nurse role and beyond
