Position Summary:

As a Dental Nurse Apprentice, you'll play a vital role in supporting our dental professionals. Your responsibilities will include assisting during procedures, maintaining sterilised equipment, and ensuring patient comfort. This apprenticeship provides a unique opportunity to learn all aspects of dental nursing while contributing to our practice's success.

Location

: Our practice is situated in a friendly community in Ashton Under Lyne Additionally, you'll attend Tameside College, Beaufort Road, OL6 6NX, one day a week for formal training.

Work Hours

: You'll work a minimum of 30-37 hours per week, with the possibility of up to 40 hours.

Qualifications

: Candidates must have a minimum of a grade 4 (or equivalent) in both maths and English. Grade 3 in one subject may be considered

Duration

: The apprenticeship lasts approximately 18-24 months.

Wage

: Currently 7.55 per hour, rising in April in line with the National Minimum Wage to 8

Duties:

Assist dentists during procedures. Sterilise dental instruments and equipment. Take and develop dental X-rays. Maintain patient records and manage dental supplies inventory. Provide oral hygiene instructions to patients. Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office calendar. .
