Wellsway Dental Practice, set in a beautiful building close to central Bath, has been going strong for 60 years. We are proud of our reputation for fantastic dental care in a modern and family orientated environment.

- The position is part time, Monday, Wednesday & Friday, (8.15am-5.15pm). Full time would be considered for an apprenticeship position.

The role will include:

Welcoming patients and supporting the Dentist/Hygienist with their treatment.

Taking responsibility for the decontamination of instruments.

Maintaining dental operating equipment.

Ensuring that all relevant materials and supplies are in place.

Looking after patient records - including making notes when the Dentist is examining a patient.

Working closely with the Dentist/Hygienist, responding quickly to requests and generally keeping the surgery ready for use.

Building and nurturing great working relationships with the team, providing effective surgery support.

Understanding and adhering to GDC guidelines and responsibilities as a registered nurse.

Ensuring excellent practice regulatory compliance and clinical standards in line with relevant regulation and guidance.

Confidently carry out administration and reception duties when required.

What we're looking for:

Experienced and qualified dental nurse with current GDC registration, however for the right candidate, a trainee or apprenticeship position will be considered.

Committed work ethic and can-do attitude.

Empathetic manner with the ability to care for patients who may be anxious.

Ability to work efficiently and to use initiative.

Good computer skills.

Excellent attention to detail.

Must have, or be willing to have, all required vaccinations.

Qualifications

- GDC Registration (required)

- Dental Nurse - 1 year preferred.

- Sense of humour (desirable)

The position is for 24 hours per week and offers a starting salary of 29,120 per annum pro rota for a qualified and experienced dental nurse. Salary will reflect experience & skill. Trainee/ apprenticeship position will be considered for the right candidate.
