Overview

Gay Street dental practice is a small, but busy private practice situated in the centre of Bath. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our team. Experience is preferred but full training can be provided with support to gain a GDC registration as a qualified dental nurse.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires strong communication and organisational skills, as well as a commitment to maintaining a welcoming environment for patients.

Responsibilities

Assist the dentist and hygienist during various dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Provide excellent patient care by reassuring patients, explaining procedures, and addressing any concerns they may have. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is completed in compliance with health regulations. Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow to optimise clinic efficiency. Ensure that all dental equipment is properly sterilised and maintained according to health and safety standards. Collaborate effectively with the dental team to enhance patient experience and improve service delivery.

Experience

Previous experience as a Dental Nurse or in a similar role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with patients and colleagues. Proficiency in IT systems relevant to dental practice management is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to provide excellent patient care with a focus on empathy and professionalism.

Pay: 12.21-14.20 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 32 per week
