Job Summary

Gay Street dental practice is a small but busy private dental practice situated in the centre of Bath. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our team. Experience is preferred but full training can be provided with support to gain a full GDC registration as a qualified dental nurse.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting dentists during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic. This position requires strong communication and organisational skills, as well as a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and patient comfort.

Responsibilities

Assist dentists during examinations and treatments, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared in advance. Provide excellent patient care by reassuring patients, explaining procedures, and addressing any concerns they may have. Maintain accurate patient records and update information as necessary using IT systems. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including infection control protocols. Manage appointment schedules and follow up with patients regarding treatment plans. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental surgery and equipment. Collaborate effectively with other dental professionals to ensure a high standard of care is delivered.

Requirements

Qualified Dental Nurse with relevant certifications or equivalent experience. Strong patient care skills with a genuine interest in helping others. Proficient in English, both written and spoken, to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues. Excellent communication skills to foster positive relationships with patients and the dental team. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a busy environment. Basic IT skills for managing patient records and scheduling appointments.
