Role Summary



We are looking for a confident and experienced

Dental Nurse

to take on a multifaceted role combining clinical nursing, management support, compliance oversight, and a proactive approach to

promoting dental plans and private services

. The ideal candidate will be patient-focused, commercially aware, and comfortable playing a key role in driving the success of the practice.

Key Responsibilities



Clinical Duties:



Provide chairside assistance for a range of private procedures (e.g. Invisalign, implants, cosmetic dentistry). Ensure high standards of cross-infection control in line with HTM 01-05 and CQC guidelines. Prepare surgeries and maintain equipment sterilisation procedures. Support clinicians in delivering smooth and comfortable patient experiences.

Private Plan & Treatment Promotion:



Proactively discuss and promote private dental plans and treatment memberships. Help patients understand the benefits of joining the clinic's dental plan. Encourage uptake of cosmetic and preventative treatments. Follow up with patients regarding treatment options and plan enrolment.

Management & Compliance:



Assist with day-to-day operations, including clinical team coordination and rota planning. Lead compliance efforts including infection control audits, CQC readiness, and policy updates. Maintain accurate records and oversee stock management and supplier coordination. Support training initiatives and ongoing professional development within the team.

Requirements



GDC-registered Dental Nurse with a minimum of 2 years' experience, preferably in private practice. Strong understanding of compliance, infection control, and CQC regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build patient trust. Commercial awareness and confidence in discussing private plans and treatments. Familiarity with dental software systems (SOE, Dentally, etc.).

Desirable



Experience in promoting and managing dental plans or memberships. Prior team leadership or senior nurse role. Radiography or other post-qualification certifications.
