Overview


We are a dental practice in Brentford and have been providing excellent patient care to all parts of the Brentford community for more than 30 years. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our friendly and dynamic team to continue to provide this great service. As a Dental Nurse, you will play a crucial role in meeting the needs of our patients and assisting the dental team in delivering effective treatments. Your ability to communicate effectively and organise tasks efficiently will contribute to a positive experience for our patients and form a vital part of team cohesion.

Responsibilities



Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Provide excellent patient care by ensuring comfort and addressing any concerns or questions patients may have. Maintain accurate patient records and update information as required, utilising IT systems effectively. Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff. Manage appointment schedules, ensuring efficient use of time and resources within the practice. Communicate clearly with patients regarding treatment plans, oral hygiene instructions, and post-operative care. Support the dental team in administrative tasks as needed, contributing to an organised practice environment.

Experience



Previous experience as a Dental Nurse or in a similar healthcare role is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English are necessary for effective interaction with patients and colleagues. A background in nursing or healthcare is advantageous, however we are certainly open to supporting trainee nurses who are enrolled onto a NEBDN course. Exceptional organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Great interpersonal skills to nurture healthy relationships between patients and the rest of the team. Proficiency in IT systems is desirable to maintain accurate records and assist with administrative duties. A commitment to providing exceptional patient care and a willingness to learn new skills within the dental field is essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.21-16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.75 per week
