We are looking to recruit an experienced professional dental nurse who is passionate about dentistry and providing a high level of care to patients.

Job Summary:

The Dental Nurse will play a crucial role in supporting our dentists and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and clinical skills, a professional demeanour and a commitment to excellence in patient care. This position requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The experienced candidate will be an integral part in delivering high-quality patient care in our dental practice. Reporting to the lead dentist, your role involves assisting with dental procedures, managing patient records, and ensuring a sterile environment. Your core skills in patient care will be complemented by your strong communication and organisational abilities, while your proficiency in IT and nursing will enhance operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities:



Chairside clinical assistance during a variety of treatments, including examinations, fillings, crowns, extractions, and dental implants. Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment, adhering to strict infection control protocols. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays). Provide patients with pre- and post-operative instructions and care. Record patient medical histories and update dental records accurately. Ensure the dental surgery is prepared for each patient, including setting up trays and equipment. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all areas are well-stocked and presentable. Manage patient appointments and coordinate with reception staff to ensure efficient scheduling. Handle patient inquiries and provide exceptional customer service. Stay current with dental practices and procedures through ongoing education and training. Communicate effectively with patients to explain treatment plans and address concerns. Uphold strict hygiene and safety standards in accordance with GDC regulations.

Qualifications:



Qualified Dental Nurse with a current registration with the General Dental Council (GDC). Previous experience in a dental practice, preferably in a premium or high-end setting. Proficiency in taking dental radiographs and using dental software. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with high net worth individuals. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanour under pressure. Willingness to work flexible hours if needed in exceptional circumstances.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: per hour

Schedule:

Monday to Friday with a possibility of some Saturdays
Candidate must be qualified and GDC registered with a minimum of 3 years experience.

License /Certification:

Reception/administration skills required. TCO knowledge beneficial.

Valid GDC registration (required) Knowledge and experience on using SOE (essential) Knowledge and understanding on Implant nursing (preferred) Radiography Certificate (preferred) Sedation training (preferred)

Pay: From 13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.50 - 23.50 per week
