Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate qualified Dental Nurse to join our small and friendly practice in the village of Dornoch.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dental team in delivering exceptional services. This position requires strong organisational skills, effective communication abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for our patients.
Trainee position will also be considered with training provided.

Duties

Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Provide excellent patient care by reassuring patients, explaining procedures, and addressing any concerns they may have. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with practice protocols and regulations. Ensure that the dental surgery is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards. Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up communications with patients to ensure continuity of care. Perform basic administrative tasks as required, including managing inventory of dental supplies and equipment. Utilise IT systems effectively to support practice operations and enhance patient experience.

Experience

Previous experience as a Dental Nurse is preferred but not essential for the right candidate. Demonstrated ability to provide excellent patient care with a focus on empathy and professionalism. Proficient organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a busy practice environment. Familiarity with IT systems relevant to dental practice operations is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided.

Pay: From 12.44 per hour

Expected hours: 29 per week
