Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Nurse to join our dynamic orthodontic specialist practice. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting orthodontists and orthodontic therapists during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. This position requires excellent organisational skills, effective communication abilities, and a strong commitment to patient welfare.

We will offer in house training in taking clinical photography, intra oral scans, the opportunity to enrol to the BDA radiology course and support in other CPD courses and training.

Responsibilities

Assist dentists during examinations and treatments, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and ready for use. Provide compassionate patient care by reassuring patients and addressing their concerns before, during, and after procedures. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is completed in accordance with practice protocols. Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up calls to ensure optimal patient flow within the clinic. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and sterile environment at all times. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices especially with orthodontic appliances and post-treatment care to promote overall dental health. Collaborate with the dental team to enhance service delivery and improve patient experiences.

Requirements

Qualified GDC registered Dental Nurse with relevant certification or diploma. Good IT skills for managing patient records and scheduling systems. Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a busy environment. Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact positively with patients and colleagues. A compassionate approach to patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards patients' needs. Previous experience in a dental practice is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
