An excellent opportunity has arisen at our Tadworth/Epsom branches for a full/part-time dental nurse, with 'long-term' in mind, to join our modern bustling mixed NHS/ PVT dental practice.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about patient care with a great chairside manner and the ability to interact with patients in a friendly and professional manner. You must be an intelligent, positive, hard-working and flexible team player who is motivated and happy to work in a fast-paced environment and willing to go above and beyond for every customer to deliver outstanding patient care. You should be proficient in written/spoken English, computer literate and be able to chart. You will carry out nursing duties for general dentistry, endodontics and cosmetic treatments.
Duties
Assist the dentist during examinations and treatment procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared in advance.
Provide excellent patient care by ensuring patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit.
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with administrative tasks as required, including appointment scheduling and managing patient inquiries.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including high standards on infection control protocols.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Collaborate effectively with the dental team to ensure a smooth workflow within the practice.
Utilise IT systems for record keeping and appointment management efficiently.
Amongst other day to day tasks which will be included in your training.
Experience
Previous experience as a Dental Nurse is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
A strong understanding of patient care principles is crucial, along with proficiency in English for effective communication with patients and team members.
Demonstrated nursing skills, particularly in a dental or healthcare setting, will be advantageous.
Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong IT skills for managing digital records and utilising practice management software effectively.
