What You'll Be Doing
We're looking for a professional, experienced, and friendly Dental Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will work alongside our clinicians to provide a high standard of care for our patients and contribute to our warm, professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome and greet patients by name, ensuring a warm and professional first impression
Provide chairside assistance during general, cosmetic, orthodontic, surgical, and implant treatments
Maintain accurate and thorough clinical records, including charting and notes
Deliver exceptional patient care, ease anxieties, and build positive rapport
Take clinical photographs, radiographs, and digital scans (if appropriately trained)
Set up, maintain, and close down surgeries to a high standard
Sterilise and disinfect instruments according to HTM 01-05 guidelines
Keep surgeries and stock rooms well-organised and fully stocked
Monitor and order clinical supplies following practice protocols
Answer phones and assist with patient queries, bookings, and follow-ups
Communicate effectively within the team to ensure seamless patient care
Uphold compliance with GDC, CQC, infection control, confidentiality, and safeguarding standards
Participate in team meetings, audits, training sessions, and CPD
About You
GDC-registered Dental Nurse (essential)
Sound understanding of cross-infection control and decontamination processes
Trained in radiography and/or digital scanning (preferred but not essential)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Calm under pressure with a compassionate approach to nervous patients
Well-organised with high attention to detail
A proactive, positive team player
