Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join a dynamic team in South London. This position is held across two dental practice sites and dental experience is required. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting dentists during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental practice. This position requires excellent organisational skills, effective communication abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a welcoming environment for patients.

Must be GDC registered

Responsibilities

Assist dentists during examinations and dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments are prepared and sterilised. Assist in training other dental nurses. Provide exceptional patient care by reassuring patients, explaining procedures, and addressing any concerns they may have. Maintain accurate patient records and update information as required using IT systems. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including infection control protocols. Manage appointment schedules efficiently to optimise patient flow within the practice. Support the administrative team with clerical tasks as needed, including filing and managing correspondence. Participate in continuing professional development to stay current with dental practices and technologies.

Skills

Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Proficient IT skills for managing patient records and utilising dental software effectively. Previous experience as a nurse is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided. Excellent patient care skills with a focus on empathy and understanding towards patients' needs. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and team members. Experience with Dentally software system preferred, but not essential.
