We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dynamic dental practice at

156 Hackney Road E2 7QL.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting the dental team, and ensuring the smooth operation of the practice. This position requires a blend of clinical expertise and strong interpersonal skills to create a welcoming environment for patients.

The Role



Set-up and prepare the surgery for the type of patient and treatment planned.

Take all reasonable methods to ensure patient comfort.

Work in a safe and effective manner in accordance with CQC/GDC requirements.

To ensure that the surgical areas and equipment are regularly cleaned and maintained.

To assist at reception and perform other clerical duties as required.

Follow all practice policies and procedures.

Undertake all mandatory training courses and maintain statutory obligation.

The Requirements



Certification in Dental Nursing

GDC registered.

Organised, diligent and IT literate.

Positive, friendly and warm-natured manner

Shows initiative, confidence and enthusiasm.

Be willing and open to learning new methods/skills.

Be flexible.

Responsibilities



Assist dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Provide high-quality patient care by reassuring patients, answering their questions, and addressing any concerns they may have. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is completed in compliance with regulatory standards. Sterilise instruments and maintain a clean and organised work environment to uphold health and safety standards. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote better dental health. Collaborate effectively with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and optimal patient outcomes.

Skills



Strong patient care skills with a focus on empathy and understanding. Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues. Background in nursing or relevant healthcare experience is advantageous. Basic IT skills for managing patient records and scheduling appointments. Excellent communication skills to interact positively with patients and team members. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
