Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care while supporting the dental team in delivering high-quality services. As a Dental Nurse, you will be responsible for assisting with various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining an organised and efficient practice environment. Training will be considered for suitable applicant.

Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared in advance. Provide excellent patient care by reassuring patients, explaining procedures, and addressing any concerns they may have. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with practice protocols. Sterilise instruments and manage infection control procedures to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff. Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and handle administrative tasks as required. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless communication and effective workflow within the practice.

Skills

Strong patient care skills with a focus on empathy and understanding of patient needs. Proficient in English, both spoken and written, to effectively communicate with patients and colleagues. Nursing qualifications or relevant experience in a healthcare setting are essential. IT skills for managing patient records and utilising dental software systems efficiently. Excellent communication skills to interact positively with patients, families, and team members. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
