Qualified Dental Nurse

Azure Dental is a solely private 4-surgery practice in the middle of Formby Village offering all types of dentistry including general, restorative, cosmetic dentistry, braces (both cosmetic and orthodontic) endodontics and implants.

Due to continued growth we are looking to recruit a mix of either 2 part time or 1 x full time plus 1 part time qualified dental nurse (s) to help provide additional support to our clinicians

We are looking for dental nurses who are able to work one evening a week (till 7pm) and occasional Saturdays (9am-4pm) alongside your regular contracted hours. There may also be opportunity for further additional hours available on an ad-hoc basis. All combinations of hours will be considered for part time roles.

As a GDC regsitered nurse you will be fully responsible for chairside support for our dentists and hygiene therapists and must be familiar with all current infection control guidelines.

You will ideally already have some experience of working in private practice in dentistry and looking to develop your skills in this area further.

As a practice, we have fully embranced the benefits of digital dentistry so experience of photography and digital scanning will be highly advantageous although training will be provided if needed.

Proficiency of working in an in-house dental laboratory will also be highly advantageous.

Some reception knowledge is also beneficial.

The right applicant will be a proven team player and will be able to start as soon as posisble. You will already be GDC registered or very close to becoming regsitered. You must be professional and caring, have a positive mentality, take pride in your work, be self-motivated, reliable and able to work to a high standard independently throughout all areas of the practice.

Salary: 13.00-13.50 per hour

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality patient care by assisting in dental procedures and ensuring patient comfort. Implement infection prevention and control measures in compliance with GDC guidelines. Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment scheduling using IT systems. Communicate effectively with patients and team members to facilitate a smooth workflow. Organize and prepare dental instruments and materials for procedures, ensuring a sterile environment.
