We are seeking a friendly and organised Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth operation within the practice and enhancing the patient experience. This full time role will be interchangeable with covering reception and dental nursing.
Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly as they arrive and assist with check-in procedures.
Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and reminders to optimise patient flow.
Handle incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries in a professional manner.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is up-to-date.
Process payments and manage billing inquiries with attention to detail.
Assist dental staff with administrative tasks as needed, ensuring a collaborative environment.
Ensure the reception area is tidy and welcoming at all times.
Adhere to health and safety regulations, including infection control protocols.
Supporting dentists/ dental therapists and working efficiently together.
Experience
Previous experience in an office or administrative role is preferred, ideally within a healthcare setting.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
Proficiency in using computer systems and dental software is advantageous.
A positive attitude and a willingness to learn new skills are essential for success in this role.

Prepare and maintain the clinical environment, equipment, and instruments.
Follow cross-infection and health & safety protocols at all times.
Accurately complete patient records and handle administrative tasks when required.
Provide reassurance and support to patients before, during, and after treatment.
Work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure smooth running of the practice.
About You
GDC registered Dental Nurse (or working towards qualification).
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
A caring, professional, and positive attitude.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a team!
