Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dynamic dental practice to cover maternity leave. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic. This position requires strong organisational skills, effective communication abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and patient comfort.

Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared in advance. Provide excellent patient care by ensuring patients are comfortable and informed throughout their visit. Maintain accurate patient records and update information as required using IT systems. Ensure that all dental equipment is cleaned, sterilised, and maintained according to health and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans, oral hygiene instructions, and post-treatment care. Manage appointment scheduling and maintain an organised workflow within the practice. Support administrative tasks as needed to ensure the efficient operation of the dental office.

Requirements

Dental Nurse with relevant certification or on a training course. Strong patient care skills with a focus on providing a positive experience for patients. Proficient in English, both spoken and written, with excellent communication skills. Highly organised with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with IT systems used in dental practices is advantageous. A team player who can collaborate effectively with colleagues while also being able to work independently when required.
