Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring that the practice runs smoothly. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong organisational abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to our patients.

Working days are: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursdays and every Saturday morning.

Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and ready for use. Provide direct patient care by preparing patients for procedures, taking medical histories, and addressing any concerns or questions they may have. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure that all documentation is completed in a timely manner. Sterilise instruments and maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with health and safety regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote overall dental health. Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow within the practice to optimise efficiency. Collaborate with other team members to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care.

Experience

Previous experience as a Dental Nurse is preferred but not essential; however, a strong desire to learn and develop within the role is crucial. Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with patients and colleagues. Familiarity with IT systems relevant to dental practices will be advantageous. A background in patient care or healthcare settings will be beneficial, showcasing your ability to provide empathetic support to patients. Strong organisational skills are essential for managing multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
