. This position is ideal for someone with excellent clinical support skills and a strong understanding of decontamination and infection control protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the dentist during urgent care procedures with a calm, professional approach
Prepare and maintain clinical areas in full compliance with cross-infection control standards
Ensure strict adherence to decontamination protocols, including instrument sterilisation and room turnaround
Provide excellent patient support and reassurance throughout treatment
Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical notes and records
Monitor and maintain stock of clinical materials and PPE
Support the wider team in managing emergency patient flow
Uphold CQC and NHS compliance at all times
Requirements:
NEBDN qualification or equivalent
GDC registered Dental Nurse (essential)
Proven experience in infection control and decontamination procedures
Familiarity with HTM 01-05 guidelines and current CQC requirements
Strong organisational and communication skills
Professional, compassionate, and reliable under pressure
