Responsibilities

Assist dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety Prepare treatment rooms and sterilise instruments in accordance with infection control protocols Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment instructions, answering any questions they may have Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems and ensure confidentiality at all times Support with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient correspondence Ensure the practice environment remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards Communicate effectively with patients, providing reassurance and explaining procedures clearly Monitor stock levels of dental supplies and organise orders as needed

Qualifications

Prior experience or training in patient care within a healthcare setting is desirable but not essential Good command of English, both written and spoken Basic IT skills for managing electronic patient records and practice management software Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with patients and team members Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure A recognised qualification in nursing or dental assistance is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level candidates willing to learn on the job
