Assisting dentists in the delivery of a wide range of dental procedures
Providing care and support to patients
Recording, collecting, and analysing patient records
Decontamination and sterilisation of instruments and clinical areas
Maintaining accurate logs and documentation
Supporting maintenance, auditing, and compliance checks
Actively participating in ongoing training and professional development
Attending regular team meetings
Ensuring the practice environment, equipment, and surfaces remain clean, safe, and hygienic
Upholding patient confidentiality at all times
Maintaining practice efficiencies and workflow
Complying with all relevant legislation and practice policies
Contributing to the delivery of oral health care within the local community
Required Skills
Strong patient-centred approach with empathy
Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with colleagues, clinicians, patients, and management
Ability to use initiative and continuously improve practice standards
Good understanding of decontamination and cross-infection control
Requirements
Recognised Dental Nurse qualification
Experience within private dental care (essential)
Valid GDC registration
Strong communication skills
Enhanced DBS check
Clear immunology for exposure-prone procedures
Two references
Previous dental experience is essential
