Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate

Qualified Dental Nurse

to join our dynamic team in Totley Sheffield.

The position is for

part time

, 2-3 days, some reception duties will be required on a rota basis with other nurses.

Our working hours are :-

Monday 8:30am-7pm

Tuesday and Wednesday 8:30am-6pm

Thursday and Friday 8:30am-5:30pm

We close 1-2pm daily for lunch.

Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow. Prepare and sterilise instruments and equipment in accordance with health and safety regulations. Provide excellent patient care by reassuring patients and addressing their concerns before, during, and after treatments. Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring all information is up to date and securely stored. Manage appointment schedules and assist with administrative tasks as needed. Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans, oral hygiene instructions, and follow-up care. Ensure the dental surgery is clean, organised, and compliant with infection control protocols. Stay informed about new dental technologies and procedures to enhance patient care. Some Reception duties may be needed

Qualifications

Qualified Dental Nurse with relevant certifications or equivalent experience in a dental setting.

Strong IT skills to manage patient records and appointment systems efficiently. Excellent organisational skills to maintain an orderly work environment. Proficient in English, both written and verbal, to communicate clearly with patients and team members. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a calm demeanour in a busy environment. A genuine passion for patient care and a commitment to providing high standards of service.

Experience in SOE software preferred, but not essential as training will be given.

You will be required to prove your Hepatitis B immunisation and pass a DBS check

Suitable candidates will be qualified and have a GDC registration.
