Job Description

We are looking for a Full Time Dental Nurse at our mixed NHS/Private Dental Practice to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dental team during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental practice. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong organisational abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a welcoming environment for patients.

Responsibilities

Assist dentists during examinations and treatments, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Provide exceptional patient care by reassuring patients, explaining procedures, and addressing any concerns they may have. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans, using IT systems effectively. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness and sterilisation of dental equipment and work areas. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to optimise practice efficiency. Communicate effectively with both patients and dental team members to foster a collaborative environment. Participate in continuous professional development to stay updated on best practices in dental nursing.

Requirements

Qualified Dental Nurse with relevant certification or equivalent experience or a Trainee Dental Nurse on a recognised dental nursing course, actively working towards their qualification

Strong patient care skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English. Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a busy environment. Proficient IT skills for managing patient records and scheduling systems. A compassionate approach to patient care with a focus on creating a positive experience for all patients. Ability to work well within a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
