Dental Nurse



Hours: 30(Min)-40 hours per week over 4 days.

Location: Hampshire and IOW,

Occasionally will be required to do 1 overnight to IOW covering annual leave or sickness. Hotel, Food and travel covered.

Dentaid The Dental Charity is a fast growing and dynamic charity based in
Totton. We are seeking a motivated and hardworking nurse to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dental nurse who has been in practice a while, and wants to experience running their own clinics and making a difference to patients lives.

You will need to be flexible, open to taking on responsibility, and have a passion for giving back through dentistry. Dentaid offer's being part of a valued colleague and part of a great team, having support from our office and clinical team and the opportunity to develop into other roles.

This exciting role involves travelling to locations in Hampshire and the IOW treating the most vulnerable of patients.

Key responsibilities



Lead, supervise the mobile dental clinics work with dentists, volunteers and support workers to ensure that patients feel comfortable and able to access dental services.
Providing dental nursing and be the leading Dentaid representative on Dentaid clinics.
Ensuring Dentaid meets CQC and legislative requirements. Completing audits and managing referral processes and monitoring laboratory work coming in and out.

Ensuring that a safe environment is maintained for all patients, staff, volunteers and visitors.
Making sure that all legal, ethical and organisational guidelines are adhered to by team and the units comply with industry and government guidelines by liaising with relevant colleagues should equipment be broken or due for service.

Ensuring the mobile units are appropriately stocked for the clinics they are attending.
Set up clinics prior to patients' arrival and take responsibility for closing down clinics and decontamination.
Record keeping
Taking / checking patient medical histories, providing chairside care and post-op support for patients.

Calling patients and managing the day list.

Helping in the office taking calls and booking appointments.

Supporting colleagues.

Potential to develop into a full clinic supervisor.

This role will require travelling around Hampshire and IOW

Essential



Minimum 3 Years dental nursing background and GDC registered.
Enhanced DBS clearance

Desirable



Dentally trained

Pension: All eligible staff will be auto enrolled into a pension scheme offered by True Potential Investor upon commencement of employment.

Contract: Fixed 12 months

Annual Leave: 22 days plus 8 days bank holidays pro rata

Sick pay up to 20 days per rolling year after probationary period

Laptop provided

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 25,875.00-30,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
