Duties

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Provide direct patient care by preparing patients for treatment, taking medical histories, and ensuring their comfort throughout the process. Maintain accurate medical documentation, including patient records and treatment plans, in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage dental equipment and instruments, ensuring proper sterilization and maintenance to uphold safety standards. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote overall health. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient service. Stay updated on medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and advancements in dental practices to enhance patient care.

Experience

Previous experience as a Dental Nurse or in a similar nursing role is preferred but not mandatory. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical documentation, and medical records management is essential. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality is required. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment are crucial for success in this role.
