Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during examinations and dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared in advance.
Provide chairside support to enhance patient comfort and care throughout their treatment.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans, using IT systems effectively.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including infection control protocols.
Communicate effectively with patients regarding their treatment plans, appointments, and oral hygiene instructions.
Manage inventory of dental supplies and equipment, ensuring that all materials are stocked and organised.
Support the administrative team with scheduling appointments and handling patient inquiries as needed.
Skills
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient IT skills for maintaining patient records and using dental software systems.
Previous experience as a nurse or in a healthcare setting is preferred but not essential.
