Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the practice. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong organisational abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a welcoming environment for patients.

Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring all necessary instruments are prepared and sterilised. Provide chairside support to enhance patient comfort and care throughout procedures. Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment plans as required. Communicate effectively with patients regarding their treatment options, oral hygiene instructions, and post-operative care. Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up calls to ensure optimal patient flow. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including infection control protocols. Support the administrative team with IT tasks related to patient management systems as needed.

Experience

Previous experience as a Dental Nurse is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate. Strong communication skills in English are essential for effective interaction with patients and team members. Demonstrated ability to provide excellent patient care with a focus on empathy and understanding. Organisational skills are crucial for managing multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with dental software systems is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is key.
