Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dynamic dental practice. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting the dental team in delivering exceptional services. This position requires strong communication skills, organisational abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for patients.

Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring that the patient is comfortable and informed throughout the process. Prepare and sterilise instruments and equipment in accordance with health and safety regulations. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans, using IT systems effectively. Provide post-operative care instructions to patients and answer any questions they may have regarding their treatment. Manage appointment schedules, ensuring efficient use of time and resources while accommodating patient needs. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental check-ups. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth workflow within the practice.

Skills

Strong patient care skills with a focus on empathy and understanding. Excellent communication abilities in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and colleagues. Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. GDC registration Previous experience as a nurse or in a healthcare setting is advantageous but not essential.
