Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our fully private dental practice. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting dentists during patient treatments, ensuring a smooth and efficient clinical environment. Duties

Assisting dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including preparing instruments and materials. Ensuring the cleanliness and sterilisation of dental instruments and equipment in accordance with health and safety regulations. Providing patients with pre- and post-treatment care instructions to promote comfort and recovery. Managing patient records accurately using IT systems, ensuring confidentiality at all times. Supporting patients through effective communication, addressing their concerns with professionalism and empathy. Organising appointments, maintaining the clinical environment, and managing stock levels of dental supplies. Adhering to infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for both patients and staff.

Requirements

Prior experience or training in patient care within a healthcare or dental setting is desirable but not essential. Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to explain procedures clearly to patients. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a busy practice. Good IT skills for managing patient records and appointment scheduling systems. A recognised qualification in nursing or dental nursing is preferred. Ability to work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail. Knowledge of current health and safety regulations relevant to dental practice is advantageous.
