Summary:

A pay rate of minimum 14 per hour for registered Dental Nurses TBN ( Trainee rate of TBN).

(Mon-Wed 08:30-17:30) - Part-Time hours suitable to applicant and practice. TBN

GDC and Indemnity Costs covered

We are looking for a conscientious, intelligent and amenable person to work as a dental nurse, part time, with possible additional reception or decontamination responsibilities at our fully private, well-appointed and award-winning 4 chair dental practice in Narberth.

We are looking for a team player who can adapt and work unsupervised, or within a team, for the best outcome for the patients and practice. This position is to cover maternity cover but will be expanded for the right applicant.

Duties will be that expected of every dental nurse including assisting chairside helping patients who may be vulnerable, anxious or have problems requiring compassionate care. Applicants will also help out within our decontamination suite or on reception as needs arise. This is a job requiring quick thinking, compassion and a willingness to learn on ones feet. Qualified Dental nurses ideally but the right trainee applicant would be considered. Part time position of 3 or 4 days per week with potential to expand.

Applicants will work with a variety of dental surgeons carrying out the widest range of dental treatments including:

Orthodontics, Dental implants Endodontics Dental Sedation
With the practice expanding in size, a wide range of training and opportunities will be available including training as a sedation nurse that, when qualified, attracts additional pay and bonus.

Consideration will be given to taking on a trainee if approached by a right minded person of obvious potential. In this case training will be funded and a full range of support and additional training will be provided. A rate of pay of 11.50/hr will be given until qualified rising to 14.00 per hour based on current scales. We are reviewing regularly in line with cost of living increases.

Consideration will be given to trainees transferring in from other practices subject to interview.

All applicants must be registered with the GDC or be prepared to undergo training for qualifications to allow registration. Applicants must be allowed to work in the UK or have appropriate work visas.

This particular position will largely be a assisting position helping one of our experienced dental surgeons carry out routine surgery and dental cosmetic aspects of the practice. We are looking for a characterful, extrovert personality that can think ahead and plan without recourse to support. We need a chatty applicant with proven ability to learn, study and with a good working ethos

- Patient care experience
- Proficiency in English
- Basic nursing knowledge
- IT skills for using relevant software
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- GDC registration or willingness to obtain it
