We are looking for a dedicated and professional Dental Nurse to join our practice. The ideal candidate will provide chairside assistance to the dentist, ensuring that procedures run smoothly and that patients receive high-quality care in a welcoming environment. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a calm, reassuring manner when dealing with patients. The role will also include elements of supporting at reception with elements of a treatment co-ordinator role when required.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during examinations and treatments.
Prepare and maintain the clinical environment, including sterilising instruments and ensuring equipment is in working order.
Support patient care by preparing them for procedures, ensuring they are comfortable, and providing post-treatment instructions.
Accurately complete patient records and ensure compliance with confidentiality regulations.
Mix materials for procedures such as fillings, impressions, and restorations as required.
Assist with taking radiographs (X-rays) under the direction of the dentist.
Follow infection control protocols and ensure the surgery is cleaned and disinfected according to current guidelines.
Assist with administrative tasks such as booking appointments, stock control, and ordering dental supplies.
Uphold health and safety regulations and adhere to the General Dental Council's standards.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
NVQ Level 3 in Dental Nursing or equivalent qualification.
Registered with the General Dental Council (GDC).
Good understanding of infection control and health and safety practices.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment.
A caring and professional attitude when dealing with patients.
Desirable Skills:
Previous experience working in a private dental practice.
Familiarity with dental software for recording patient data and appointment scheduling.
Experience assisting in specialised dental procedures such as implants, orthodontics, or sedation.
