Widegate House Dental Practice is a fully private dental practice located in central London (3 minutes walk from Liverpool street station), renowned for its comprehensive range of dental services.
We are seeking a skilled Dental Nurse/Receptionist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice while delivering exceptional patient care. Your contributions will be essential to maintaining our high standards of service and patient satisfaction.
This role will mainly concentrate on dental nursing but you will be requested to help out in reception as needed.
Responsibilities
Duties
Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, creating a welcoming atmosphere
Manage patient appointments, confirmations, and rescheduling efficiently using our IT systems
Answer phone calls, respond to enquiries, and direct calls appropriately
Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the practice management software
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and handling correspondence
Support the dental team with basic administrative duties as required
Facilitate communication between patients and dental staff to ensure clear understanding of treatments and procedures
Assist dentists during various dental procedures and treatments
Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all necessary instruments are sterilized and ready for use
Provide compassionate patient care by addressing patient needs and concerns
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with administrative tasks as needed
Educate patients on post-treatment care and oral hygiene practices
Support the dental team in maintaining a clean and organized work environment
Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including infection control protocols
Experience
Minimum 1 year experience as a Dental Nurse essential but willingness to learn dental reception is required.
Dental Nursing qualification and GDC registration is required.
Software of Excellence or Dentally experience is essential.
Strong knowledge of dental procedures and anatomy.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
