Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will provide essential support to dentists during procedures, ensure patient comfort, and maintain a clean and organised clinical environment. Duties

Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and sterilised. Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, offering reassurance, and ensuring patient comfort throughout treatment. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with practice protocols and data protection regulations. Prepare the treatment room before appointments, including setting up equipment and ensuring cleanliness. Support infection control protocols by sterilising instruments and maintaining a hygienic environment. Manage appointment scheduling, reminders, and follow-up communications to ensure smooth practice operations. Handle administrative tasks such as updating patient information using IT systems and assisting with billing processes where required. Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and suppliers to promote a positive practice environment.

Qualifications

Proven experience in patient care within a dental or healthcare setting is desirable. Good command of English, both written and spoken, to communicate clearly with patients and team members. Formal qualification in Nursing or Dental Nursing recognised by relevant professional bodies. Basic IT skills for managing patient records and scheduling appointments efficiently. Excellent communication skills to reassure patients and collaborate effectively with colleagues. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
