Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse, or Trainee Dental Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting the dental team during procedures, and ensuring a smooth and efficient operation within the practice. This position requires strong communication and organisational skills, as well as a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and patient comfort.

Duties

Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Provide excellent patient care by reassuring patients, explaining procedures, and addressing any concerns they may have. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using IT systems effectively. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including infection control protocols. Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up communications with patients to ensure continuity of care. Support the dental team in maintaining a clean and organised work environment, including sterilisation of instruments and equipment. Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with dental practices and technologies.

Experience

Previous experience as a Dental Nurse or in a similar healthcare role is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and colleagues. Proficiency in Software of Excellence is desirable. Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate patient care while maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
