The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering the highest standards of patient care, combining clinical nursing duties with treatment coordination responsibilities. This dual role requires professionalism, excellent communication skills, strong organisational abilities, and a patient-centred approach to ensure every patient receives a seamless and positive journey.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Nursing Duties
Assist dentists during examinations and treatments, ensuring all instruments, materials, and equipment are prepared and readily available.
Deliver exceptional chairside support and patient care by offering reassurance, answering queries, and addressing concerns with empathy and professionalism.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and treatment notes.
Adhere to all health, safety, and infection control protocols in line with current regulations.
Perform digital patient scanning and support clinicians with diagnostic imaging.
Treatment Coordination Duties
Act as the main point of contact for new and existing patients, providing clear guidance throughout their treatment journey.
Manage leads and patient enquiries, following up promptly to build trust and convert consultations into bookings.
Present treatment plans in a clear, patient-friendly manner, ensuring informed consent is obtained.
Discuss finance options and provide secure finance links to support patients in making well-informed decisions.
Liaise with clinicians to coordinate complex treatment schedules, ensuring efficiency and continuity of care.
Support patients with aftercare instructions and ongoing communication to enhance their overall experience.
Requirements
Qualified Dental Nurse with current
GDC registration
(required).
Proven experience as a Dental Nurse; prior TCO experience is highly desirable but not essential (training provided).
Proficiency in English with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong organisational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
A caring and empathetic approach, with a genuine commitment to patient care.
Familiarity with dental software systems is advantageous, though full training will be provided.
Ability to work well within a team while also taking initiative independently.
