The Role



As Assistant Manager, you will initially be the sole receptionist, leading all front-of-house operations and managing the dental nursing team. This role requires a highly organized and proactive individual who can coordinate the clinic's daily activities and provide exceptional patient care. You will be the first point of contact for all patient enquiries and play a critical role in converting them into booked appointments, maximizing treatment plan uptake, and driving new patient acquisition. As the clinic grows, you will have the opportunity to build and lead your own reception team.

What You'll Do



Act as the sole receptionist, handling all front-of-house responsibilities with excellence. Lead and motivate the dental nursing team to ensure smooth clinic operations. Manage all patient enquiries via phone, email, and in-person, converting them into booked appointments. Drive new patient acquisition and retention through effective communication and marketing support. Coordinate daily clinic operations, including staff scheduling, patient flow, and record management. Support treatment plan presentations, ensuring patient understanding and maximizing treatment acceptance rates. Maintain full appointment books, minimize cancellations, and consistently meet clinic targets for growth and revenue. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and maintain the highest standards of patient care and customer service. Recruit, train, and mentor new reception staff as the clinic expands.

What We're Looking For



Proven leadership experience in a dental or healthcare setting is highly desirable. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage a busy reception area effectively. Commercially minded with a results-driven approach and a proven track record of meeting targets. Experience with dental practice management systems, like Dentally, is strongly preferred. Calm, professional, and approachable demeanor, with the ability to handle pressure and resolve issues effectively. A proactive mindset, with a passion for delivering outstanding patient experiences and contributing to the growth of the clinic.
