: Practice Manager
Job Purpose
To oversee the smooth, efficient, and compliant running of the practice, supporting both the clinical and administrative teams to ensure the highest standards of patient care and practice management.
Job Type
Full-time, with flexibility required including at least one Saturday per month.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day operations of the dental practice, ensuring efficiency and excellent patient service.
Lead, support, and develop the dental team to create a motivated and effective working environment.
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including CQC, Health & Safety, Information Governance, and Safeguarding requirements.
Oversee patient journey processes, ensuring they are seamless, safe, and patient-focused.
Manage financial processes including patient payments, NHS claims, and stock/supplies.
Liaise with dental laboratories, suppliers, and external organisations as required.
Maintain practice policies, procedures, and documentation to meet compliance and audit standards.
Organise and support staff training, appraisals, and CPD requirements.
Provide chairside or reception support if required in exceptional circumstances.
Requirements
Previous dental practice management experience (essential).
GDC registered (ideal candidate).
Experience in both dental nursing and reception.
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
Knowledge of
Software of Excellence (SOE)
is highly desirable.
Ability to manage compliance requirements including CQC and NHS processes.
A professional, approachable manner with a focus on teamwork and patient care.
