What You'll Do



Team Leadership & Development



Manage and mentor reception, nursing, treatment coordination, and marketing teams Conduct appraisals, performance reviews, and implement scorecard-based objectives Lead recruitment, training programmes, and structured inductions Oversee rotas, disciplinary processes, and workforce planning

Financial Management & KPIs



Monitor practice KPIs, budgeting, and forecasting with monthly performance reports Manage payroll, banking operations, and HMRC compliance Handle patient payment policies, aged debt management, and payment plans Review invoices and prepare payment runs

Patient Experience Excellence



Deliver exceptional 5-star patient journeys at every touchpoint Implement patient feedback programmes (NPS, Google reviews, Doctify) Manage complaints procedures with empathy and timely resolution Track patient experience KPIs, including wait times, conversion rates, and satisfaction scores

Compliance & Operations



Ensure full regulatory compliance: CQC, HTM 01-05, IR(ME)R 2017, GDPR, safeguarding Maintain practice documentation, policies, and SOPs Oversee IT systems, equipment maintenance, and stock control Execute marketing plans, including website, social media, and community outreach

What We're Looking For



Essential Requirements:



Proven management experience in a dental practice or healthcare setting (orthodontic experience advantageous) Strong leadership skills with the ability to build engaged teams and manage performance Excellent patient service mindset with polished communication skills Solid understanding of CQC, infection control (HTM 01-05), GDPR, and health & safety Financial acumen: budgeting, forecasting, payroll oversight Proficiency with dental software (practice uses Dentally), MS Office/Google Workspace Right to work in the UK; enhanced DBS clearance required

Preferred Qualifications:



Formal management qualification (ILM, CIPD, CMI) GDC registration (Dental Nurse) and/or radiography certificates Experience with Invisalign/orthodontic patient journeys Marketing campaign experience and community outreach background
