As the Practice Manager at Dentistry by Cure Clinics, you will be responsible for the full operational, governance, facilities, technology, and people management of the practice. With support and development, you will work towards becoming the CQC Registered Manager, taking on responsibility for ensuring compliance with all regulatory and internal standards. You will lead operational excellence, oversee patient experience delivery, and help build a high-performing, compliant practice environment.
You will lead by example, embodying the values of Cure Clinics and ensuring all systems, processes, and people align with business and patient goals.
Responsibilities
Act as the ultimate brand ambassador and cultural architect within the practice, driving the values, behaviours, and ethos of Cure Clinics
Lead, manage, and mentor the dental practice team to achieve high standards of performance and patient care.
Manage recruitment, induction and onboarding of new team members.
Lead and oversee team development through structured planning and support of succession initiatives, including apprenticeship pathways and early career clinician programmes.
Conduct appraisals, 1:1s, performance management, and wellbeing support.
Organise and ensure delivery of practice communications including team meeting schedules, daily huddles, and internal communications.
Ensure ownership of the patient experience through leadership of the Front of House and Treatment Coordinator teams, in collaboration with the Principal Dentist and clinical team.
Manage and ensure adherence to all HR policies and procedures.
Manage the daily operations of the practice ensuring efficient and effective workflows.
Oversee and maintain rotas, schedules, diary planning, and holiday cover.
Implement, track and report performance metrics to drive efficiency and productivity.
Implement and manage ongoing review of operational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all regulatory and health and safety requirements.
Manage stock inventory and controls for clinical and non-clinical services.
Handle cash payments securely and accurately.
Oversee daily cashing up and onsite banking processes.
Assist the central finance team by providing local insights and operational data to support budgeting and forecasting processes.
Be the registered CQC manager, ensuring full compliance with CQC standards.
Manage compliance of all operational statutory and legal regulations ensuring all health and safety legislations are adhered to including risk assessments, disability assessments, accident reporting and investigation.
Maintain and update practice compliance policies and documentation.
Handle patient complaints professionally and promptly in accordance with the practice complaints procedure.
Maintain practice insurance policies, third party liability and employee liability.
Champion the practice's commitment to clinical governance and operational excellence.
Oversee maintenance, servicing, and repairs of practice premises and equipment.
Manage facilities suppliers and review service contracts annually.
Monitor site security and cleanliness standards.
Oversee effective use of the practice management system (Dentally) and other IT systems.
Liaise with IT support for troubleshooting and updates.
Ensure GDPR compliance and information governance.
Support the marketing team with patient communications, campaigns and events.
Support patient acquisition and retention initiatives at the practice level.
Encourage proactive patient engagement.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior dental practice management role is essential.
The successful candidate will be supported to undertake the role of CQC Registered Manager and must demonstrate the qualifications and leadership experience necessary to meet the requirements of this position.
Level 4 or above qualification in Dental Practice Management or Leadership qualification - desirable
