We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth operation within the dental practice and enhancing the overall patient experience.
We are a very busy mixed practice and it's important that we find the right candidate to fit into our team of receptionists. We are looking for a professional, well-presented team player who displays a good work ethic.
We offer competitive rates of pay, performance bonuses and incentive schemes as well as free on-street parking and practice socials.
The normal working hours are 9am-6pm with one day either being an early start early finish (8am-5pm) or late start late finish (11am-8pm). The practice is open one Saturday per month for half a day 9am - 1pm and this is shared between the team, so you can expect to work once every 2-3 months. Saturdays can be paid or TOIL.
The ideal candidate will be polite, resilient and calm under pressure.
Must have dental reception experience preferably using SOE Exact software, full training will be provided.
Salary dependent on relevant experience.
Duties
Greet patients warmly upon arrival and check them in for their appointments.
Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations to optimise the daily schedule.
Handle patient inquiries and provide information regarding services, treatments, and insurance policies.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with data protection regulations.
Process payments and manage billing inquiries with attention to detail.
Assist dental staff with administrative tasks as needed to ensure efficient workflow within the practice.
Keep the reception area tidy and organised, creating a welcoming environment for patients.
Requirements
Previous dental or medical reception experience is essential.
Strong administrative skills with proficiency in using office software and equipment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
A positive attitude and a professional appearance are vital for this role.
Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the practice's needs.
