About the Role
As a
Dental Receptionist
, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, setting the tone for the high-quality care we provide. You'll be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, managing patient appointments, and ensuring a smooth, welcoming experience for everyone who walks through our doors.
This is a varied and rewarding role within a supportive and friendly team, ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and has a natural ability to make people feel at ease.
This role requires occasional travel to a nearby site to provide reception cover. The location is:
Vitality Copley, Copley Hill Business Park, Cambridge Road, Babraham, CB22 3GN.
Suitable and reliable transport to this site is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Experience
Greet all patients and visitors with professionalism, warmth, and care
Handle telephone and email enquiries in a helpful, informative manner
Book, adjust, and manage patient appointments accurately
Ensure patient information is up-to-date and handled with confidentiality
Take payments and issue receipts
Send appointment reminders and courtesy calls
Support patients with necessary paperwork and information
Team & Practice Support
Work closely with clinicians, nurses, and the wider reception team
Assist with day-to-day administration and record-keeping
Maintain a clean, tidy, and welcoming reception area
Report any concerns or issues to the Reception Management Team
Support with operational efficiency and appointment book management
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is:
Friendly, calm, and professional
A confident communicator with a great telephone manner
Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage a busy front desk
Comfortable using computers and Microsoft Office
Proactive and a strong team player
Experience in a healthcare or dental setting is helpful but not essential -- full training will be provided.
