Overview


We are seeking a friendly and organised Dental Receptionist to join our mixed NHS and Private dental practice based in a busy Tesco Superstore, close to the Westend of Glasgow. With the benefit of free on site parking available, we provide all aspects of routine dentistry, dental implants as well as cosmetic dentistry for our patients. We require a teamplayer who is hard working, reliable, keen to be learn and be involved in providing excellent care in a supportive and positive environment. Our focus is to have a calming and friendly environment for all staff and patients, making it an enjoyable place to work.

Position is permanent and full time Monday-Friday, but part time additional staff positions will also be considered including weekends.

The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within the reception area. This role offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment where attention to detail and a welcoming attitude are highly valued. Previous office or administrative experience is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. Dentally software currently being used for patient appointments, full training will be provided.

Duties



Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations Answer phone calls promptly and courteously, directing enquiries as appropriate Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and processing payments Liaise with dental staff to ensure patient needs are met efficiently Ensure the reception area remains tidy and welcoming at all times Assist with general office duties to support smooth practice operations

Experience



Previous dental reception or administrative experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work effectively within a team environment Proficiency in basic computer applications such as MS Office or similar software is advantageous A friendly demeanour with a professional attitude towards patient care and confidentiality
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 12.50-14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
