Job Title: Dental Receptionist

Overview:

We are looking for an experienced, friendly and patient-focused Dental Receptionist to join our team at our private dental practice. We are looking for a candidate who has a friendly, approachable, professional manner, who can help to calm anxious patients and who embraces the practice's ethos and goals. As the first point of contact for our patients, the Dental Receptionist plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive patient experience.

As a small start-up practice it is imperative that you are hard working, work well in a team and enjoy your work to create a positive and harmonious working environment.

This position is for a full-time role, Monday to Friday on a permanent basis.

Hours:

Monday: 8.45am to 6.15pm

Tuesday: 8.45am to 6.15pm

Wednesday: 8.45am to 8.15pm

Thursday: 8.45am to 6.15pm

Friday: 8.45am to 5.15pm

1 hour lunch break each day

Dental Receptionist duties and responsibilities:

Greet patients and visitors with a friendly and welcoming demeanour Answering phone calls and assisting with patient queries and answering questions in a professional manner Collecting patient information and booking appointments on the dental software Taking deposits and payments for examinations/treatments Inform patients of the practice plan and finance options Taking down messages for clinicians Tracking availability and preparing patients before their appointments Confirming patient appointments Informing clinicians staff when a patient has arrived or is waiting, via the dental software Ensuring that each patient has the proper documentation and sign-in documents on the tablet Handling correspondence and file transfers Keeping a log of lab work to be sent/received Keeping a log of referrals/correspondence from referrals and inform relevant clinicians Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of patients' information Keep the reception and front of house area clean and tidy

Ability to use initiative and lateral thinking Enthusiastic and positive attitude to work Ability to prioritise workload efficiently Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills Strong customer service skills Excellent IT skills Ability to multi-task and strong organisational skills Attention to detail and accuracy in handling paperwork Being able to follow processes, procedures and respect confidentiality at all times Experience in Systems for Dentists is desirable but not essential Ability to be a part of a new, dynamic, patient-focused team
