We are seeking a highly organised, personable, and proactive
Receptionist
to join our dental team.
As our practice grows we are looking to expand our team to provide a better service to our patients.
This role is pivotal in ensuring an outstanding patient experience from the first point of contact through to the completion of treatment. The ideal candidate will be confident in front-desk reception duties and will have a good understanding of both private and NHS dentistry. It is essential you are a people-person, well-organised, and understanding that our team provides excellent care!
Key Responsibilities:
Reception Duties:
Greet patients warmly and professionally, both in person and over the phone.
Manage appointment bookings, recalls, cancellations, and confirmations.
Handle patient enquiries efficiently and empathetically.
Process payments and manage financial transactions.
Maintain accurate patient records and manage compliance-related documentation (GDPR, NHS/Private requirements, etc.).
Keep the reception area clean, welcoming, and organised.
It is important to understand reception and how it works in order to identify patient needs and existing processes. This will allow the receptionist to also work better with the rest of the reception and admin team, and wider clinical team.
Administration & Time Management:
Prioritise and manage multiple administrative tasks efficiently.
Coordinate with suppliers, labs, and other external partners.
Support the practice manager with audits, compliance reports, and daily operations.
Identify areas for improvement and contribute to streamlining workflows.
Person Specification: Essential:
Previous experience in a dental patient-facing environment.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent written communication skills.
Confident in using dental software (e.g., SOE, Dentally, Exact, or similar).
Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Proactive and willingness to work with the team.

Hours:
Mondays 8:30 - 7pm
Tuesdays 8:30 - 5:15pm
Wednesdays 2pm - 5:15pm (possibly 8:30 - 5:15pm)
From the New Year 1 Saturday a month may be required
