We are looking for a Dental Receptionist to join our lovely team. We are a mixed NHS / Private practice based in Totton, Southampton.
Key Responsibilities:
Front Desk Duties:
Greet patients, visitors, and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
Act as the first point of contact for all enquiries, both in person and via telephone.
Maintain a clean and welcoming reception area.
Appointment Management:
Book, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments using NHS electronic systems.
Ensure appointment slots are fully utilised and patient preferences are recorded.
Send appointment reminders and manage follow-ups.
Patient Support:
Assist patients with completing medical history forms and other documentation.
Provide information on dental charges and collect payments.
Administrative Tasks:
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
Liaise with dental laboratories regarding appliances and deliveries.
Handle correspondence, filing, and archiving of dental notes.
Team Collaboration:
Communicate effectively with dental nurses, dentists, and other healthcare professionals.
Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
Compliance & Professionalism:
Adhere to NHS policies and procedures, including infection control and safeguarding.
Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards at all times.
Participate in annual basic life support training.
Hours
Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm
1x Saturday Morning Shift Per Month (8:30am - 1:30pm)
2x Late Evening Shifts Per Month (5:30pm - 7:30pm)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to 12.21 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 42 per week
