We are seeking a friendly and organised Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice for initially two days a week, Wednesdays & Thursdays, but with the potential for more days in the future.. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice and maintaining a welcoming environment for all patients.
Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly as they arrive and assist them with check-in procedures.
Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations to optimise the daily schedule.
Handle patient inquiries via phone, email, or in person, providing accurate information about services and procedures.
Maintain patient records with confidentiality and accuracy, ensuring all information is up to date.
Process patient payments and manage billing inquiries with professionalism.
End of day banking
Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care and appointments.
Assist with general office duties such as filing, data entry, and maintaining a clean reception area.
Requirements
Previous experience in an administrative or office role is preferred.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact positively with patients and staff.
Proficiency in using office software and equipment; familiarity with dental software is a plus.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm demeanour.
A compassionate approach towards patients, demonstrating empathy and understanding of their needs.
